This charming 8 1/2" tall Pitcher is, unfortunately, not marked. It has a bulbous ovoid body with lobed sections tapering to the neck. It is old, but I have no clue how old. It is handpainted with the artist initials gef. There are painted flowers on each side and on the front a milk maid with a cow in the background. Underneath is printed "Normande" and the artist initials. The rim and handle have painted decoration. Could this have been a souvenir from the Normandy area of France? Although it is not Quimper, it resembles that type of pottery. Condition is good with one rim chip. The inside is very clean. A nice display for the country kitchen.
