Blue and white with an Oriental flair, these four Flow Blue 9" Plates were made by B. & K. Ltd, Staffordshire Potteries, circa 1898-1941.
The rim design consists of a band of diamond shapes, dots, and small floral reserves. A tassel edge line leads to the center well. The center shows a vase from which sprigs of flowers rise to the left and top center. Another spray is placed at the right. The backstamp is a circle surrounded by wings. On the circle is an oval with the word "Clinton" ( pattern name ). Under the symbol are the initials B. & K. ltd, Barkers and Kent ltd Staffordshire Potteries. I believe these plates to be early 1900's. Three of the plates are in very good condition, no chips or cracks. The fourth has a stable hairline 2" crack about 1:00 O'clock . These would make wonderful display plates. They are priced as a set, but I would consider selling them separately.
