Perfect together are these beautiful 6" tall with a 2" base Noritake Vases. In Japan, Noritake mastered the technique of manufacturing high quality porcelain china.These lovely Vases were hand painted as "mirror images" with the same panoramic vignette, but the painting is reversed on each. Mirrored images to be displayed together. The hand painted landscape scene depicts a lake with swans, trees, castle and a pretty sky. The two handled Vase has a top band of blue with gilt decoration including a large butterfly. The back stamp on these Vases is # 16 ( ref. "The collectors Book Noritake , by Joan Van Patten p.96 ) was used on items being exported to the United Kingdom. It was registered in London in 1908 and 1911 in Japan. The mark is blue with the symbol of the Komaris. Condition is excellent. Only small wear to gold. No chips or cracks. These are nice!
