During the 1950's Royal Winton Grimwades English Staffordshire Pottery introduced a line of decorative ceramics with scenes or cartouches of Colonial Figures. A lot of these dishes are a yellow-cream color with the addition of gold trim. This sexton shape bowl with handles measures 7 1/2" x 6'. There are six transferware scenes of colorful Colonial figures. The handles have a sun burst design of gold. No chips or cracks, but there is age crazing. The mark is a Royal Winton Grimwades 1954.
