Laurel Burch Floating Feline Egg Shaped Cat Figurine by Franklin Mint - image 1 of 6

Here is another egg shaped cat in Laurel Burch's Floating Feline pattern, hand painted and numbered, produced by Franklin Mint in 1998. It is no. A 5372. This delightful lavender colored cat with a fuchsia colored face and tail is covered in colorful butterflies with gold detailing. The cat stands a bit over 2.5" tall and is roughly 2" wide at the fullest part of the body. The cat is in excellent condition with no damage. No box or paperwork is available. Check out the other five cats in this series in my ads.

A note about the artist: Laurel Burch was a California artist who became producing art work in 1960, including paintings and jewelry. After gaining financial backing and a trip to China where she learned of cloisonné enameling, she expanded her art to enamels, wood, fabric and other mediums. She licensed her designs to several companies in 1990. In 2007, she passed away from complications of osteopetrosis.
