A cute little snowman adorns the lid of this lovely mini enamel box. The box was made by the English company called Halcyon Days Enamels in the 1970's when the company first set out to revive the eighteenth century English craft of enameling over copper. These lovely little boxes were originally used for beauty patches, snuff, or candies. This enamel box was one of their early ones when they used the oval Bilston and Battersea Enamels mark . In the 1980s, the mark was changed to Halcyon Days Enamels.
This enamel box is in good condition but does have a few tiny nicks on the underside of the lid. The snap on lid closes securely. The gold tone bezel is still relatively bright and shiny. The interior of the lid has no decoration. The box measures about 1" in diameter across the lid, and stands about .5" tall. No presentation box is available. Price reduced for the small flaws.
