Evans Enamel Mesh Powder and Rouge Compact - image 1 of 7

This beautiful vintage compact has an Art Deco design on the brass rim and beautiful hand painted roses on the enamel engine turned lid. The underside is brass mesh which has some greenish discoloration but has no tears or holes. The inside has a metal mirror which opens to reveal a rouge pot and puff. The other side has a powder compartment with a large puff. The large puff may be a later addition as it is larger than the opening and smushed somewhat to cover the compartment. Both puffs have been used.

The Evans name is inscribed on the inside edge of the rim near the clasp. Due to its design I believe this compact to be from the 1920s - 1930s. The compact is 3.5" in diameter. It's a beautiful piece to add to your vanity or compact collection.
