The UK based Harmony Kingdom began making box figurines in the early 1990's. They have quickly become highly collectible. The boxes are intricate carvings by master artists made of crushed marble and resin to resemble antique ivory. The Roly Poly line are ball shaped figures named for famous people.
"Nick", a box figurine of a little Santa Claus, was an event piece exclusive for the 2000's Winterfest attendees. The inside has a carving of 3 wrapped presents on one side and two pies on the other with the words "Noel...Noel." The "standard" paint used indicates it was only one of 1500 out of the 10626 made for sale in Canada or the United States. The American flag on Nick's back indicates it was produced for sale in the United States.
The box was carved by master carver Adam Binder in 2000 for release on 10/01/2000. It was retired on 11/30/2000. The dimensions of the piece are 1.5 x 1.75 x 1.75 inches. The model number is TJEVSA00. Nick is referenced in The Harmony Kingdom Reference Guide by Leanna Barron on page 226. Nick comes with his original presentation box.
