Bewear the Hare, an adorable cat wearing socks for bunny ears and sitting in a basket full of vegetables, was originally carved by master carver David Lawrence in 1996 for the UK based Harmony Kingdom. It is a limited edition exclusively made for a buying group called Parkwest/NALED Retailers. It was released on 4/1/1999, and retired on 11/7/2011.

A total of 4200 boxes were produced for this figurine. There are 2 interior sections - one with a carving of a pair of gardening gloves and a spade, and the other with a cat burrowing under a seed packet. The dimensions of the box figurine are 2.64 x 1.61 x 2.09 inches. The model number is TJLEP99S. The hallmarks include the ©, diamond, HBC logo, and DL, for David Lawrence. This piece was hand painted in China.
