The UK based Harmony Kingdom began making the Treasure Jest boxes in the early 1990's. They have quickly become highly collectible. The boxes are intricate carvings by master artists made of crushed marble and resin to resemble antique ivory. The Treasure Jests are a humorous line often with secret images or markings that have meaning to artist's life.

This adorable little crab is a Harmony Kingdom Treasure Jest box figurine called Side Steppin'. It was one of the earliest box figurines produced and thus has no mouse, hallmarks or inner carving. The crown stamp is located under the lid.

The box was originally carved by master carver Martin Perry Studios for Harmony Kingdom in 1992 and released on 1/1/1993. It was retired on 12/1/1996, with an edition size of 6813. The dimensions of the piece are 2.8 x 1.97 x 0.83 inches. The model number is TJCB. It comes with the original box and Harmony Kingdom pamphlet. This Treasure Jest box can be found in The Harmony Kingdom Reference Guide by Leanna Barron on page 74.
