The English company called Halcyon Days Enamels set out to revive the eighteenth century English craft of enameling over copper to produce lovely little boxes which were originally used for beauty patches, snuff, or candies.
This beautiful blue enamel box was made by Halcyon Days Enamels in the 1980s to 1990s, and has the oval Halcyon Days Enamels mark on the underside. Pink roses and clusters of tiny blue flowers on the lid surround the saying: "When this you see Remember me - Tho' many miles We distant be."
The enamel box is in excellent condition. The hinged lid opens easily and closes securely. The gold tone bezel is still bright and shiny. The interior of the lid has a black and white drawing of flowers. The box measures about 1.75" in diameter and stands about 1" tall. It comes in its velvet lined presentation box which is in excellent condition also, along with a Halcyon Days Enamels booklet.
