This beautiful blue enamel box depicts Jackson Square in New Orleans, Louisiana, on the lid. It was produced by Halcyon Days. The underside bears the early BB oval mark stating Bilston and Battersea Enamels Made in England. This BB mark was only used from 1970-1979. In 1980, the company changed to the Halcyon Days Enamels mark. It also bears the Waldhorn Company, Inc. stamp, I assume for the company that commissioned the piece.
This beautiful little enamel box is in excellent condition. The box measures about 2" long, just over 1" tall, and about 1.5" wide. The brass bezel is nice and shiny, and the colors of the box are bright. The box closes securely and opens easily. The interior of the lid has a drawing of Andrew Jackson riding a horse surrounded by Jackson Square New Orleans Louisiana in script. There are no chips or damage. No presentation box available with this one.
