A beautiful basket full of flowers adorns the lid of this lovely lavender enamel box. The box was made by the English company called Crummles & Co. The box resembles those made in the eighteenth century through the English craft of enameling over copper. These lovely little boxes were originally used for beauty patches, snuff, or candies.
This enamel box is in excellent condition. The hinged lid opens easily and closes securely. The gold tone bezel has aged to a nice patina. The interior of the lid has a black and white drawing of flowers. The box measures about 1.75" in diameter across the lid, and stands about 1" tall. No presentation box is available.
