In 1986-1988, the Franklin Mint issued a series of cat figurines for the Curio Cabinet Cats Collection. Each cat was produced from a different material, in different countries, and reflected various art forms popular through the ages.
This pure white porcelain cat is done in the Chinese style known by its French name, Blanc de Chine. This style of porcelain dates back to the 17th century. This particular piece has the Franklin Mint logo on the bottom dating it to 1988. The cat measures about 2.75" high. It is in excellent condition with 24 karat gold detailing on the ball. The blackish area on the tip of its tail in the photos was a bit of dirt that wiped off. No paperwork available.
