In 1986-1988, the Franklin Mint issued a series of cat figurines for the Curio Cabinet Cats Collection. Each cat was produced from a different material, in different countries, and reflected various art forms popular through the ages. This beautiful porcelain cat is done in the style of The Hungarian porcelain house of Herend was established in 1838. This particular piece is stamped with the Franklin Mint logo and date of 1988, and has a paper label stating it was crafted in Taiwan. The cat measures about 2.5" long and 1.75" high. It is in excellent condition with 24 karat gold detailing. No paperwork.
