This covered sugar bowl with a pretty floral band pattern was produced by H & C (Heinrich & Co) in Selb, Bavaria, Germany. The company began using the crown H & C mark shown on the bottom of the plate in 1896. The pattern name is unknown. It consists of a band of yellow and red flowers with blue and green leaves used just below the rim of the bowl and around the rim of the lid. The edging and handle color appears to be 24K gold. The sugar bowl and lid are in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or crazing. There is very minor paint loss on the handles due to usage. The sugar bowl measures about 7" in diameter from handle to handle. The lid measures 3" in diameter. With the lid on, the sugar bowl stands 3.5" tall.
