This pretty floral band pattern was produced by H & C (Heinrich & Co) in Selb, Bavaria, Germany. The company began using the crown H & C mark shown on the bottom of the attached plate in 1896. The pattern name is unknown. It consists of a band of yellow and red flowers with blue and green leaves used around the rim of the plate and the fullest part of the body of the gravy boat. The edging appears to be 24K gold. The piece is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or crazing. There is one area on the plate rim where there is slight loss of gold paint and a few errant dark spots. The plate measures 9" x 5.75". The gravy boat measures 7.75" from spout to spout and 3" wide at the rim.
