This beautiful red enamel box with the Serenity Prayer was made by the English company called Halcyon Days in the 1980s or 1990s. It was commissioned by The Horchow Collection. Halcyon Days set out to revive the eighteenth century English craft of enameling over copper to produce lovely little boxes which were originally used for beauty patches, snuff, or candies.
The Serenity Prayer enamel box is decorated with a peacock and flowers surrounding a script of the Serenity prayer. The hinged lid opens easily and closes securely. The gold tone bezel is still bright and shiny. The interior of the lid has a black and white drawing of a peacock head and flowers. The box measures about 2" in diameter and stands about 1" tall. It is in excellent condition. There is no box or pamphlet available.
