Oktobearfest is a special edition event piece Treasure Jest box figurine originally carved by Master Carver Peter Calvesbert in 1996 for Oktobearfest attendees. This was the first annual event done as an in-stores celebration by Harmony Kingdom . After the model was reproduced in resin and crushed marble, then hand painted by cottage artists in England, it was issued for sale to the attendees at Oktobearfest on 10/1/1997 in an edition size of 13500. It was retired on 11/1/1997.
Oktobearfest depicts three bears, one of which is inside a tree stump. The tree is inscribed with a heart and arrow, Mar 1816, and the initials J C for Peter's ancestor, John Calvesbert, who married on the date. The interior carving is of a South African 10 cent coin which represents Peter's honeymoon. Hallmarks include the ©, a diamond, the HBC logo (treble clef), edition number of 1, and the artist's initials, Pc. This box figurine is in excellent condition and comes in its original green box with a Harmony Kingdom pamphlet. The model number is TJEVBE97. The box measures 2.17 x 2.2 x 2.17 inches.
Oktobearfest is found in The Harmony Kingdom Reference Guide by Leanna Barron on p. 227.
