Leatherneck's Lounge is a small Treasure Jest box figurine which features three iguanas hanging out in a dead, hollowed tree. Master Carver Peter Calvesbert carved the original mold for this piece in 2000 for Harmony Kingdom of England. After reproducing the model in hand painted boxes made from crushed marble and resin, the pieces were issued for sale on 6/1/2000 and retired on 6/28/2002. The edition size was 8,200.
In this Version 1, Leatherneck's Lounge inner carving depicts the head of an iguana, and on the exterior a bird's head. The bumpy skin of the iguanas displays various inscriptions that have meaning to the artist. The mouse is hiding in one of the hollowed branches.
The box figurine is in excellent condition and comes in its original box with a place card and the Harmony Kingdom pamphlet. The model number is TJIG. It measures 2.25 x 2.75 x 3 inches. Hallmarks include the copyright symbol, the HBC logo, Pc for Peter Calvesbert, the edition number of 1, and a double diamond.
Leatherneck's Lounge is found in The Harmony Kingdom Reference Guide by Leanna Barron on p. 60.
