Here's a gorgeous yellow chintz teapot made by James Sadler of England c 1950-1995. The bright yellow background is covered in flowers in various shades or red, blue and lavender interspersed with green and orange leaves. The pattern is called Sophie Chintz.
The underside is embossed with Sadler England and bears the square James Sadler stamp with Made in England Sophie Chintz underneath. The gold around the base, rim, spout, and handle is in excellent condition. The only flaw to this beautiful piece is a small 1/4" chip on the underside of the spout which is only noticeable when held upside down. This teapot can be used or will display beautifully in your teapot collection.
The teapot measures about 9.75" from spout to handle, 5.5" tall to finial, and 3.5" in diameter at the base. It holds four cups of tea.
