This delightful tile figurine called Tilt-A-Whirl is from the Picturesque Collection called Noah's Park by Harmony Kingdom. Harmony Kingdom produced several Picturesque Collections which were comprised of twenty 4" x 4" tiles with magnets on the back. This series of tiles were made from crushed marble and resin, and hand painted in China. The tiles can be used alone, or all can be collected and placed on a magnetic frame to display an awesomely detailed theme, rife with secrets and the well-known Harmony Kingdom humor.
The Tilt-A-Whirl tile was carved by Ann Richmond, as were 18 of the other tiles in the Noah's Park collection. Peter Calvesbert carved the center tile, called The Lost Ark. The Tilt-A-Whirl tile was carved in 1998, then released 3/1/1999, and retired on 1/1/2003. The model number is PXNC4. The edition size was 7149. The tile depicts a line of meerkats waiting to use the loo. An octopus, with body piercing and a tattoo, is trying to grab the meerkats.
The tile is in excellent condition and comes in its original box with the Picturesque pamphlet. The artist has signed the back. The tile is referenced in The Harmony Kingdom Reference Guide by Leanna Barron on page 252.
