This beautiful vintage pattern produced by Lefton China around the 1950s is called Violet Chintz. This porcelain creamer and sugar with lid are in excellent condition. They feature gold detailing, scalloped rims and bases, a raised swirl design on the bodies, and a sweet violet pattern all over. Although both marks state Lefton China Hand Painted, the violet design appears to be a decal (note the "seam" near the creamer handle in the photo). There is a stamped model number on both of 912V. Under the mark it also states Reg. U.S. Pat. Off.
The creamer stands 3.75" tall. The sugar bowl is roughly 3.5" tall with the lid. The gold detailing is intact (and is probably the part that was hand painted) except for one slight bit of loss on the lid finial of the sugar bowl.
This is really a pretty set to add to your chintz collection, or your Violet Chintz dinnerware set.
