This was my dad's messenger kit for Western Union when he worked as a telegram messenger from 1937-38. The kit is in great condition and contains: 4 tag notices (door tags), a rate chart for "Low Night Letter Rates" effective June 1, 1937, a booklet with Rates for Telegrams Cables and Money orders, a Manual for Messengers, 2 answer blank forms, 5 observation slips, and my dad's ID card which "authorizes the acceptance of collect messages presented by James Lewis Atkinson. The kit measures 4.5" wide and 6" long. Everything is in good condition. Several of the items have creases where they were folded to fit inside the kit.
