This roly poly tin depicting a Chef was produced by Bristol Ware, a division of Chein industries, in 1980. The company produced a number of tins representing various characters. They were based on antique tobacco advertising tins which are now hard to come by and usually sell for over $300 a piece. This more contemporary line is much more reasonable and can add charm to a collector's tin collection. With his paring knife, basket of vegetables and wonderful facial expression, this roly poly tin is full or color and charm. He has no dents. There are two small spots of discoloration in the interior. The chef stands about 7" tall.
