This vintage dachshund dog shaped teapot was made in Germany around the 1940's, and imported to the US by Ebeling & Reuss of Philadelphia. The Ebeling & Ruess company importing logo was thus Erphila, standing for their first initials and the first part of the city where they were located. The teapot is in excellent condition with only one small flaw - 2 spots on the tail (handle) were the glaze didn't cover. The teapot stands about 8.5" tall and is 7" wide from spout to handle. The model number is 6703B. There is light overall crazing visible in the the glazed areas where the lighter color paint is used. This is a really cute vintage teapot for the teapot collector. It looks like it would hold about 2 cups or so of liquid.
