This neat Royal Dux figurine of a seal is circa 1947, as indicated by the "D" in the pink triangular mark on the base. When Russia (Soviet Union) nationalized Czechoslovakian industries after WWII, it changed the mark from an E to a D to stand for Duchcovsky Porcelain, their new name for Royal Dux. However, it also has the gold foil seal on its back which wasn't used until 1990. The figurine also has incised numbers on the bottom of 395, 74 and 3. There also a stamped seal and a drawn in ink number 4, along with the pink clay triangular mark, and a stamped R in a circle. The seal is in excellent condition, and measures about 8" long and stands about 6" high. The white spots are from the camera flash on this high gloss figurine.
