This neat silverplate and enamel combination compact and cigarette case by Richard Hudnut is circa 1930's. It features a black enamel cover over the rouge and powder compact section, and a silverplate cover over the cigarette case section. Both are embossed with a floral pattern. The back side is black enamel with raised silverplated line details. The photo of the back makes it appear that it is grey and black due to the camera flash but it is all black.
The rouge and powder compartments are empty. The mirror is in great condition. The mirror frame is marked Richard Hudnut made in U.S.A. The cigarette compartment has an arm with the Hudnut name.
The case is in very good condition but has some light usage marks. It measures about 3" wide and 4.25" long.
A really nice piece to add to your vanity collection.
