This beautiful cobalt blue and gilt antique vase dates from 1886-1914. It was produced by the Doulton in Lambeth England. The Doulton & Slaters Patent mark as well as the Royal Doulton circle mark are incised on the bottom. There are several other incised marks including what appears to be 7881 and 694, and the initials CA. There is also an "H" in ink.
The neck of the vase is a mottled cobalt blue but came out more of a solid color in the photos. There is one slight scratch that can only be detected under bright light on the neck. The bulbous base is hand painted with white and cobalt blue colored flowers with gilt detailing. The Slater's Patent designs were made by impressing linen onto the clay which gives it a textured appearance. The vase is about 15.25" tall and about 8" in diameter at the center of the bulbous area. The vase is in excellent condition with no problems.
