In 1986-1988, the Franklin Mint issued a series of cat figurines for the Curio Cabinet Cats Collection. Each cat was produced from a different material, in different countries, and reflected various art forms popular through the ages.
This beautiful porcelain cat in a pearlized finish called Lustre Glaze is done in the style of the Spanish porcelain houses which first made this finish popular, and was replicated around the world. This particular piece still has the paper label indicating it was crafted in Malaysia and stamped with the Franklin Mint logo TFM. The cat measures about 3.75" long and almost 1.75" high. It is in excellent condition. The photos don't pick up the gleaming pearlized finish very well. The crown is painted in 24 karat gold. I do not have the insert on the history for this one.
