The Franklin Mint issued a series of cat figurines for the Curio Cabinet Cats Collection. Each cat was produced from a different material, in different countries, and reflected various art forms popular through the ages.
This ornately sculptured cat is luxuriously painted in silver in the style of Art Nouveau. This much sought after cat is the largest and heaviest (12 ounces) cat in the collection. The base of this particular piece is missing the felt lining with a crafted in Malaysia label. The base of the tail is incised with the Franklin Mint logo FM. The cat measures about 3" long and 2.75" high. The cat is in excellent condition. No insert on the history is available.
