In 1986-1988, the Franklin Mint issued a series of cat figurines for the Curio Cabinet Cats Collection. Each cat was produced from a different material, in different countries, and reflected various art forms popular through the ages.
This pure white porcelain cat is done in the Chinese style known by its French name, Blanc de Chine. This style of porcelain dates back to the 17th century. This particular piece still has the Franklin Mint logo on the bottom and the handcrafted in China label. The cat measures about 2.75" high. It is in excellent condition with 24 karat gold detailing on the ball. No paperwork.
