This gorgeous antique sterling silver dresser or jewelry box is engraved with initials that that have worn and are difficult to read and a date of 1903. The repousse pattern has not been identified but consists of many tiny flowers and "C" designs. The Tiffany maker's mark is on the bottom of the box. The pattern number is 12878 which was introduced between 1896 and 1897. The order mark which was used in-house is 8813. It is also incised sterling silver 925-1000. The box is about 7" long, 2.25" wide and 1" deep. There are a few tiny dings and light scratch marks on the underside, and 5 teeny holes where the design was pierced through but nothing significant, especially for a 107 year old item. It has not been polished, as I will leave that to the buyer. The box weighs 5.5 ounces. I will be listing a matching oval box as well.
