This beautiful bone china cat hand painted in the Imari style with hand applied 22 K gold detailing was introduced in 1990 by Royal Crown Derby, and retired in 2008. The cat called Kitten is in excellent condition. It measures about 2.25" long, 1.75" wide and 3.25" tall. The bottom has the Royal Crown Derby English Bone China silver metal stopper and the crown mark in red with LVIII below which stands for 1995. This piece was designed by Robert Tabbenor and painted by Jo ledger. Royal Crown Derby began producing these paperweights in 1981. They were an instant hit and have become highly collectable. This particular cat would make an excellent companion to the Tom Cat and Sleeping Cat I have listed. This piece is listed in the Price Guide to Contemporary Collectibles and Limited Editions.
