In 1986-1988, the Franklin Mint issued a series of cat figurines for the Curio Cabinet Cats Collection. Each cat was produced from a different material, in different countries, and reflected various art forms popular through the ages.
This heavy metal cat is made in the style of an Egyptian art piece with green and gold tone detailing. The body on this particular piece is very bronze, in contrast to other models I have found that appear more black in color. This piece is incised on the underside 1986 TFM for The Franklin Mint, and has a crafted in Taiwan paper label. The cat measures about 1.75" from paws to tail and about 2.75" high. It is in excellent condition. No paperwork.
