In 1986-1988, the Franklin Mint issued a series of cat figurines for the Curio Cabinet Cats Collection. Each cat was produced from a different material, in different countries, and reflected various art forms popular through the ages. This pretty china cat with the red floral design on its back is made in the style of Japanese Kakiemon art. This piece is stamped on the underside The Franklin Mint, and has the copyright symbol. There is also a paper label saying Crafted in Taiwan (not shown in photo). The cat measures about 3.25" from nose to tail and about 2.25" high. It is in excellent condition. No paperwork.
