This would be a great serving spoon to use with your stock pots or when preparing or serving large amounts of food. It is marked Eales 1779 silverplate and what appears to be Italy in very tiny, difficult to read incised letters. The spoon handle extends onto the back of the spoon in a raised rib design. There is a small area on the underside of the bowl with a cluster of tiny rough spots. The spoon could use a bit more polishing. It measures 13" long and the bowl area is about 4" long and over 2.25" wide.
