In 1986-1988, the Franklin Mint issued a series of cat figurines for the Curio Cabinet Cats Collection. Each cat was produced from a different material, in different countries, and reflected various art forms popular through the ages. This beautiful porcelain hand painted cat is done in the style of fine German porcelain houses in the 18th century. This particular piece still has the paper label indicating it was crafted in Taiwan and stamped with the Franklin Mint logo and 1988. The cat measures about 2.5" high. It is in excellent condition. The orange spots in the photos are from light reflections. I do not have the insert about the history for this one.
