This wonderful little porcelain snuff or patch box is covered in hand painted gold detailing and the word Souvenir in the medallion on top. The dark color is actually a magenta. The camera flash tends to wash it out and make it appear more lavender. The color on the lid shows more accurately. The box has a crossed arrow type mark with oversized feathers on the ends. The bezel appears to be brass with a nice aged patina. This box, as well as several others I will be listing, are being sold "as found." I have made no attempt to clean any of them. The box measures almost 2.75" long, almost 1.25" wide and about 1.25" high. The clasp closes snuggly. It was most likely made for the tourist trade around the 1900-1950s.
