The UK based Harmony Kingdom began making the Treasure Jest boxes in the early 1990's. They have quickly become highly collectible. The boxes are intricate carvings by master artists made of crushed marble and resin to resemble antique ivory.
The Royal Watch, the official club for Harmony Kingdom collectors, began in 1995 also. Each year a special collector's kit is offered to members only. This kit issued for 2000 includes three small box figurines: Field Day (a box with mice), Merry-Go-Round (a box with Dolphins), and Lover's leap (a box with frogs). Once Harmony Kingdom moved production to China, more color was used on the pieces. The Royal Watch pieces are referenced in the 9th edition Price Guide to Contemporary Collectibles and Limited Editions by Mary L. Sieber.
I am offering each box separately. This listing is for the cute little box, Merry-Go-Round, which was carved by artist Sherman Drackett in 1999 and handcrafted in China. The dimensions of the box are 1.54 x 1.38 x 1.57 inches. The model number is RW00DO. The piece was only produced between 1/1/2000 and 12/31/2000, with an edition size of 26,566 . The box is in excellent condition but comes without a packing box or inserts.
