Serve your guests in elegant style with this small English silver sugar tongs. The tongs are hallmarked with the anchor city mark for Birmingham, the lion passant standard mark indicating sterling silver, and the date letter E indicating it was produced in 1929. It also has the silversmith's mark but it is somewhat difficult to read. It appears to be either DJ.S&S or just J.S&S. It may possibly be James Swann & Son. The tongs have bird claws for clasping the sugar cubes. It measures 2 and 7/8th inches long. Condition is excellent.
