Lord Nelson Ware started in Hanley, Staffordshire with the name Elijah Cotton of which can be dated back to 1758.
They invented the brand "Nelson Ware" in about 1913 and then the term 'Lord Nelson Ware' appeared prior to the 1950's. With Lord Nelson Pottery a crown was added to some of their marks in 1956. This tankard features the crown with the letter 'N' beneath, the numbers 10-69 I believe stands for it dating to 1969. This beauty features the hard to find fishing scene. This stunning tankard is in very good condition, there is some wear along the silver colored rim, no chips or cracks. Stands at approx. 5.5" tall.
