Rare vintage wristwatch designed by Hermes.
Very important collector's piece, created by the house of Hermes in Paris France, circa1970's.
The case of this wristwatch is crafted from a 30 mm by 30 mm square cushion shape, made in 18K yellow gold. The frame around the case is decorated with an off-white carved piece and the dial is adorned with four square elements carved from natural rose and ebony wood, recreating a checkerboard pattern. the hands are gold
The movement is in running condition, is manual winding, mechanical and made in swiss.
All gold parts are stamped, with clear French hallmarks; twice with the eagle's head for the assay and guaranty of the 18 kt, the maker's maitre cartouche EH, associated to Hermes, the unique serial numbers and signed in full, "HERMES 586 0.750 DEPOSSE SWISS AW", with the inventory number "32313" added in the reverse.
Have a total weight of 27.6 grams and fit a wrist up to 7.75 inches.
Note: The leather strap has been replaced with a new orange Hermes. The 18 kt gold buckle is the original from the period.

It is in perfect condition and is accompanied by the old leather strap and the designer's jewelry box.
