We Specialize in Finding and Re-homing Treasures from the Past!
Here’s a gorgeous antique 20K yellow gold Arts & Crafts brooch with an oval-faceted multi-color gemstone set in 20K yellow gold!
Dating c1905-1910, this stunning brooch features a bezel-set ametrine gemstone with an amazing color transition from purple to green, with approximately 3.3 Carats. The body of the brooch has an organic botanical design of scrolling leaves and gold beads along golden wires. The brooch bears its original antique pin and safety clasp.
We've been told by an expert in Arts and Crafts jewelry that it was likely created in Boston or possibly New York. It resembles work by the artist Edward Everett Oakes, however is believed to pre-date Oakes. Other possible makers include Margaret Rogers or Josephine Hartwell Shaw, however we cannot say with certainty as the piece is unsigned. It is the stunning work of a master craftsperson!
This lovely estate brooch weighs 7.1 grams; it's unmarked and acid tests as 20K gold.
As with all our items this will ship in an elegant box, ready for presenting as a gift or keeping safe as a treasured heirloom.
