MIJ Occupied Japan Handpainted Dishes - Set of 6 WWII - image 1 of 3

Unusual occupied Japan handpainted dishes that clearly show the influence of the American occupation after WWII (1946-1952). The contrast of the Oriental maiden and the American cowboy or soldier on the bridge are striking. Handpainted, with red trim. Dishes measure 5 5/16". Marked Made in Japan in red, which indicates that these are Occupied Japan pieces. No chips or cracks. Price is for the set. We have another set of 5 with gold trim. You will find it listed in our porcelain category.
