A Coro cockatoo Duette fur clip set that features two birds, back to back, each sitting on its own flower branch. The individual pins can be worn together, as shown, or taken out of the Duette clip to wear them separately. Encrusted with pave rhinestones and enameled in beautiful blues, this vintage brooch from the early 1940s measures a generous 3-1/2 inches high by 2 inches wide. The clip is marked Coro Duette and includes the Patent No. 1798867. Great condition with one rhinestone missing and some enamel wear. Designed by Gene Verrecchio and patented in 1941, it is featured in American Costume Jewelry, volume 1, by the Brunialtis.
