I love re-purposing things! This clever seamstress showed great skill and creativity in putting beautiful old linens to good use by creating a lovely little doll dress from blue floral fabric with an embroidered V-shaped collar with a “B”.
monogram made from a handkerchief corner. She added white cuffs to the leg-o-mutton sleeves from the same handkerchief. She also created a wonderful little lace trimmed full-slip with lace shoulder straps and trim, and a bound scalloped hemline, likely from a linen napkin or tea towel, and also a nice pair of pantaloons from another napkin. The threesome will be perfect for your finest small antique, vintage, or artisan doll!
