This is an outstanding and unique doll dress and coat of very luxurious cream satin and thick, soft sage green velvet, with cream lace accents. About 30-40 years old, It was sold to me for an antique doll of 22”-25”. The dress fits my 22” C.M. Bergman well (she is modeling, but not for sale) but the coat is slightly large on her, so I am providing measurements for you to decide if it will fit your doll.
Interestingly, I don’t really care for the wide lace trim that was used on the coat....it originally had two rows of wide lace on each sleeve, but I thought it was too much, so I removed the row closest to the collar. I have provided before and after pictures. You can just barely see the line of stitch holes where I removed it, and I think steaming it might help it disappear, which I will do tomorrow. Anyway, I have a tendency to make my own adjustments and you probably do, too. If I was keeping the outfit I would go ahead and remove the second row of lace and replace it with something older and narrower, but I left one row of the sleeve lace in case someone else might prefer it. It took about 5 minutes to remove it with a seam ripper and some embroidery scissors.
The dress measures 13” long with a 5.5” back shoulder width, 6” sleeves, and a 15” waist circumference. Fastens in back with three snaps. No holes, tears, spots, or stains noted.
The fully lined coat measures 14.25” long, with a 5.75” back shoulder width and 6.25” long sleeves. It has a 17” empire waist circumference. The wide “V” collar is accented with cream and lime green satin ribbon strips, edged with cream lace. Fastens in front with 2 metal snaps, fully lined in luxurious satin.
