Lovely little christening gown, slip, and bonnet for your tiny French or German bisque doll is exquisitely done. Gown is 7.25” in length, with a 1.75” back shoulder width. It is made from very sheer ecru silk organza with delicate lace trim and a baby pink Rosette at the neckline and baby pink silk thread ties on each sleeve. The fabric has worn very thin in several spots and some have become small holes. I tried to show this with my photos. The worn areas are not very noticeable with the slip underneath, and I believe they are acceptable for a garment of this age and the age of the doll who will likely wear it. It is probably inevitable that such a sheer fabric will show wear, but it does not effect the display quality of this gown. The slip is beautifully made of cream silk with embroidery, lace, and tiny buttons and loops on each shoulder and at the top opening in back. White silk thread is woven through the open work above the hemline flounce, ending in a sweet bow. The matching lace bonnet is the perfect finishing touch, measuring 4” around the edge that frames the doll’s face and 3.5” along the edge that goes around the back of the doll’s head. I was thrilled to find this complete outfit in a lot of doll clothes I recently lucked into, especially with the bonnet.....it seems the bonnets often go missing, but this is the matching bonnet!
