This is a beautiful set of 8 Franciscan Desert Rose Bread & Butter/Dessert Plates made in the USA first rolled out in early 1940's. Each plate measures 6 3/8" in diameter and all are in excellent vintage condition.
California-based Gladding, McBean & Co began producing Franciscan Dinnerware in the 1930’s. Their introduction of Franciscan Apple in 1940 heralded a new product line featuring heavily sculpted and embossed dinnerware hand-decorated in brilliant colors. Desert Rose, introduced a year later, became the top selling dinnerware pattern in the world.
The Fixed Shipping weight is based on the set of 8 weighing just over 5 pounds without packing materials. Any cost over that amount will be absorbed by the Seller.
